Happy New Year everyone! 2012 was a tough year for my family and it felt like I didn’t get very much accomplished. However, as I was getting photographs together, I may have to revise that statement. I did accomplish quite a bit. Doing a yearly review is a good thing!
Many challenging personal events occured and I won’t dwell on them, but will say that everyone is doing very well!
Here are the quilting & other crafty projects I worked on during the past year….
- This quilt was sent to a long arm quilter and returned early in the new year and I just needed to bind it.

This was a mystery quilt project with my local guild. It was fun. We only received small bits of information & instruction at a time ..not knowing how it would come together. I like the final result.

This one was long arm quilted. It was purchased in Charleston, SC. I love the pattern and is a fabulous souvenir of our trip to Charleston!

This was a really fun project, a virtual quilt a long through friends on ‘Flickr’. All blocks are paper-pieced and it is both hand and machine quilted by me. This hangs in my sewing/quilting room.
My local quilt guild had their Bi-annual Quilt show. I submitted several quilts and am thrilled that I won a couple of ribbons…
I also made a few non-quilt items:
Last but not least – a couple of quilt tops that have been finished, just waiting for sandwiching, quilting and binding….I think I will start a new ‘Winter Stitching Page’.
Finaly, in June, my step-daughter got married and it was a wonderful day! We are very happy for her and her new husband. Please indulge me in showing off a few family shots from the happy day!
So as you see, I really did have a good year after all! What have you been up to? What projects do you have waiting for you…Now head on over to Lee’s Blog, Freshly Pieced and see what other talented people are up to…
Until next time…Connie

You were VERY busy this past year! And I still love that first quilt. BTW…beautiful girls!!
Thanks – reviewing really helped – I actually thought that I didn’t do much
I’m proud of my girls – they have turned into such lovely young ladies
Holy cow! That’s a lot of projects! And a ton of hand quilting. I’m super impressed!
Thank you!
I had a lot of time on my hands in the early part of the year, so I was able to get a lot of hand quilting done
