I haven’t had much to post for WIP Wednesday for a while, but this week I have something to share.
One of my daughter’s friends is having her first baby. I don’t want to say too much, just in case she reads my blog…but I am loving this quilt. I am calling it “A Star is Born”. Please excuse the poor lighting in these photos…I will get better pictures this weekend, when I hope (fingers crossed) to finish it…
It is made up of some ‘wonky’ stars and three striped blocks to fill in the spaces. I had just enough for these extra blocks and I think they add interest.
What have you been up to? Now head on over to Lee’s Freshly Pieced and see what everyone else is up to.
Until next time, Connie

Lovely work. I am a big wonky star fan and love the colour and fabric choices. It makes it almost low volume.
I like Wonky stars, too. This looks like it would have fit right in at the Quilt Con in Austin – the Modern Quilt show.
Spectacular quilt design with the wonky stars, perfect color choice!
Thank you!
I love making quilts for babies….it is such a happy time!
